On October 1, 2007 AFCA entered into an agreement with the Western Fire Chiefs Association relating to book sales.  Arizona's fire service may now make purchases from the Fire Service Bookstore, representing over 32 publishers, at a discount and a portion of the proceeds will be returned to AFCA.  

Those proceeds are used to support a variety of activities including presentation of professional development programs for chief officers; educational scholarships to the Arizona State Fire School, Arizona Wildfire Academy and ASU Fire Service Institute; sponsorship contribution to the Arizona Burn Camp; and involvement with state and national initiatives that affect Arizona’s fire service.
