Local Assistance State Team
Based on the NFFF’s goal of having a Local Assistance State Team (L.A.S.T.) in each state, the Arizona Fire Chiefs Association has established a Local Assistance State Team (AZ L.A.S.T.). The AZ L.A.S.T.'s primary objective is to provide assistance and comfort to the family and department after a line-of-duty death, assist the surviving family in filing for the DOJ Public Safety Officer Benefits, and to act as the initial contact/agent for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
